It holds your bike securely in the upright position, with no need to remove the front wheel, with the single hoop and jaws around the lower frame downtube. The Raptor fits bikes up to 30 lbs. with traditional diamond frame geometry, wheels 20″ or larger in diameter, and downtubes between 1″ and 3″ in diameter (metal frames only, not for use on composite frame bikes), and it accommodates disc brakes, thru axles, and full suspension.

An upright bike rack is one of the easiest types of bike racks to load because it supports the bike by the wheels, with no need to remove the front wheel, and this upright rack may be the easiest of all. Just place the wheels in the tray, raise the hoop and tighten the jaws around the bike’s lower downtube, then ratchet the wheel straps tight around the wheels and you can be on your way. The Raptor is just as easy to install because it comes with mounts for all crossbar types: round, square, factory and aero. No additional mounts or hardware are needed; everything is in the box. Bikes with traditional diamond frame geometry and bikes with fenders are perfect for the Raptor. It will fit bikes up to 30 lbs. with wheels 20″ or larger and downtubes that are between 1″ and 3″ in diameter. The Raptor is intended for bikes with metal frames only and should not be used to transport bikes with composite frames.

The Raptor Aero Roof Bike Rack can be locked to the roof rack crossbar with a Yakima SKS Accessory Lock Housing and lock core (sold separately). The bike can be locked to the Raptor by installing an SKS core (sold separately) in the jaws tensioning knob. The lock cores can be set up so they lock with the same key. Comprehensive, illustrated instructions are included with the bike rack, and it’s covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
