Portal Axle Conversion for Mercedes G-class
Lift Your Mercedes G-class with a Portal Axle Conversion for Better Off-road Performance
We have been getting a lot of inquires for the Dynocomp 8″ Lift Kit. Of course, it’s no wonder — it’s a really cool kit! However, Dynocomp will only complete the job at their workshop in Arizona. The complete upgrade is around $20k. Customers can ship the car to us, or we can arrange transport. We can perform any other work the Customer would like done at the same time, such as carbon fiber accessories, paint, powder coating, or a body kit.
However, at that price, it could make sense to also consider the portal axle conversion (like the 6×6 AMG and G500 4×4), which can be shipped to your local shop. With longer Eibach Springs and 35-inch tires, you will net about an 8″ lift. With 37″ tires, about a 9″ lift.
The portals are safe, no codes, no maintenance issues, no undue wear-and-tear. The portals do all of the work. Maintains all factory suspension components, though we do recommend the KING shocks with the OEM springs, or KING Shocks and Eibach Springs (longer Eibach springs required for 37″ tires).
If the Dynocomp kit and the Portal Axle Conversion aren’t exactly what you were looking for, here are some 4″ options to consider:
– Eibach/RENNtech
– Eibach/KING
– ARB/OME
– WB
