Platinum Motorsport Goes Big…with Smaller Wheels

Bigger is better. Until it isn’t. When it comes to off-roading, less rim and more tire is the way to go. The Mercedes G550 4×4² comes with 22″ wheels and a 325/55-22 (36.07″ overall diameter) — not exactly the set up you would want for this off-road beast. So Platinum Motorsport in LA installed 18″ Mercedes/Hutchinson 6×6 AMG Beadlock Wheels with 37″ Toyo Mud-terrain tires to make sure this G550 4×4 Squared has the off-road capability you would expect in a vehicle outfitted with portal axles and dual shocks.

Of course, Platinum Motorsport didn’t stop there. They added BRABUS Carbon Fiber Snorkels, BRABUS Carbon Fiber Hood Attachment, BRABUS Front Bumper Add-on, BRABUS Front Lip Spoilers with LEDs (2-pc set with multi-function LEDs which act as DRL and turn indicator), BRABUS Fender Add-ons (eliminate turn-signal), BRABUS Electric Side Steps with BRABUS Valve-controlled Exhaust, De-chromed, Satin Black Emblems, and more!
